Social History of Experiences: A Theoretical-Methodological Approach

Abstract How should we analyse experiences as societal phenomena? This chapter develops a historical-theoretical approach by building on the social theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann with Reinhart Koselleck’s temporal structures experiencing. We first theorize how are socially constructed themselves construct historically changing reality. Second, introduce analytic tools for approaching in socio-historical research. The conceptualizes spatial experience layers scenes , indicates they can be traced exploring sediments —shared meanings experience—that stored different sign systems given historical context.
